How Did This Happen?!

I've noticed over my years on the internet how many pervs there are. I was just thinking recently, after my encounter's on some random chat sites, why would they want to do sexual things with a random stranger on a computer? I guess the same could be said about casual sex in the real world but how did we get like this? Did they just lose all their drive to go out and actually try to find someone they really like? I mean at least go out and get the real thing right? I don't know...it's just really sad and strange.
